hpylori and lesions in the small intestine

my 21 year old son was recently diagonosed with hpylori infection
after a trip to the emergency room due to vomiting blood and having bloody stool. he has been being treated with antibiotics and nutritional shots for 2 weeks but his colonoscopy and Gi test
results showed 2 lesions in his lower intestine near the colon.
they want to biopsy those.
he has started to hold down food now, but i would like to know the prognosis and treatment of this, how serious these lesions could be, etc..dont know much about this and i dont think he is telling me all. I dont know if I should be as worried as i am.thanks for any enlightment.

My 81 year old Dad was just diagnosed with hpylori. He lost 25 pounds in a 3 week period. Had no idea what was happening to him. Completely bedridden.Weak & in so much pain, he had to be helped w/ any & all movements. Now that he's been diagnosed, given antiobiotics. How long will it take him to get back to his normal routines ? He was very active. Are there long time or permanant effects of hpylori ? Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated.
