hyparathryoidism and dental health

I have been diagnosed with hyperparathroidism due to 30 years of taking lithium.  Is it possible my body is leaching calcium from my teeth as well? Recently I have had problems with teeth chipping and cracking. I hesitate to get caps because if this continues, perhaps the caps will not hold for their expected period of time.  What do you think Dr.

P.S. I am not on any medication for this condition, and have stopped taking lithium for 6 months and am using another drug, hoping the parathyroids will return to health.

Read parathryoid.com it is a very educational website about hyperparathryoidism. I'm not sure about your teeth, but I've read stuff on other websites about gum problems etc. Did they confirm that you have a parathryoid tumor? Just curious, what are your D, Calcium and PTH levels?
