i had a recent change in bowel habbits

i always thought i had IBS and got over the counter stuff for years. what i do not understand is that years later i was haveing some kind of spasims and pain each time i went to the loo and my bowel changed from soft stuff that blocked the loo  to long pencil like poo. and i have no gall bladder and no apendix and lots of recuring sergical (surgical) hernis. and it is worse when i am on my period being a lady. the pain lasts up to 5 mins and then goes away and can come back a few times in a hour till have had a good poo. i also on top of this more recent i get reflux. it is bad so bad i am sick in the night when i go to bed and it is worse at night pain in the chest and a real bad test belshing gives me a funny tast and i am sick with it and it is all bile that comes up.  i now have mebeverine tables and lansoprzole i keep telling my GP i am worryed but that is all she gave me.  i have beeen takeing it and nothing at all. there as been cancer in the stomoch and gasric probems with both sides of my family. but it feels that with no tests to rule it out i am so worried i am being neglected i neeed to no if it is something more surios to as it is not a nice thing to have and is interfireing with my whole life. and i have children young children at home. what should i say to the doctor? i had gall stones once and i was not tested till i demanded and the doctor was funny with me but apolgised later that he as sorry he missed it. and told me it was all psychological and it was not. and had them out at 18 i am now 40 years old. this is a new doctor to and years later i got no one to help me demand. my dads gone with cancer and so as my granmars and no one left to help me. one good thing i am not loseing weight. just staying the same.
