is bowl trouble perminate after gallbladder removal

by netnet123, Oct 06, 2008 09:07AM
I had my gallbladder out 9 years ago.  It was done with lazer.  I have had bowl trouble ever since.  I also know of others who have had this same surgery and have the same symptoms.  I had a medical doctor tell me that 1 in 5 have these syptoms (symptoms).  My question is:  Is this perminate as my doctor stated.  Note: I have learned to control it most of the time.  Things that set it off is, high fat or grease in food, stress and getting over heated (summer)  Pretty much the same things that set off my gallbladder attacks before.  which makes me ask a second question: why remove it?

This discussion is related to Bloated belly.

hi, yes thats the million dollar question, first i would disagree with your doctor about the percentage, its more like 90 percent continue to experience bowl disorders. most people dont know that a simple change in ones diet can exclude possible surgery for the gallbladder. i feel for all those that had theirs removed unneccessarily, as to your question about permanent symptoms, no ofcourse not. look up sherry brescia and try her pain free diets, its all free of charge, cheers.
