itch anus

itch anus

Not sure if this goes here:

I had an itchy anus for almost a year.  Real bad at times.  But will go away for stretches of time:  a day or two, sometimes weeks.  I have hemroids, yes...but I keep bleeding most of the time...but that too will not be consistent.  Only when I wipe...and it does not matter if i have hard stools, soft...if i've been itchy or no...

the blood is bright red...

Also...the other day, i had a big pimple like thing between my anus and scrotum...it popped and bled quite a bit...then nothing...felt much better after it popped...and is almost gone 24 hours later.

Don't know if anything collaborates with the other...but just curious.

I also got my first urinary tract infection ever a couple of weeks ago.

I have not had sex for almost 6 months...just in case that info. is needed.

Well, there are several things to make life easier for what's going on with you.  First, after every time you shower, apply plain KY jelly on the area.  Then, every time you go, reapply it with dampened toilet paper or use baby wipes to keep the area clean.  The toilet paper you should try using, it's the mildest and least irritating I've found, is Cottonelle with ALOE, green package with a little dog on it.  The main thing is keep it clean and lubricated.  Very warm baths help with hemorrhoids, as does Preparation H.  Also, use Dove soap when you bathe, it's very gentle and non-drying.

By doing what I say with the KY jel, that is, keeping the area clean and lubricated all the time, your hemorrhoids won't get tore up so bad, and you won't experience the itching.  But to get to the source of all this takes more time.  Hemorrhoids come from straining, which comes from constipation.  On the other hand, the itching comes from stuff "dribbling" out of there, very common with people who drink alcohol or other eating habits that create diarrhea.  Either way, I imagine you might need to help your own lifestyle and eating habits.

Basically if you do three things, which other posters have suggested here in varying ways, which is drink plenty of water, get plenty of exercise, and get enough fiber in your food, your waste will be more normal, not too dry, not too loose, easy to pass.  By fiber, it's really simple, just add a few fiber type things to what you eat, daily, and you should notice some difference.  Me, I eat Cheerios and a little juice every morning, 100 percent whole wheat bread at lunch, and a salad with dinner.  That keeps me regular.  If you tend to eat lunch out, go for the least greasy food you can, like Subway subs, or avoid French fries, that sort of thing.

If you drink, well, depends on how much.  If it's too much, you've got two choices:  Cut back consistently, or you're going to have to quit.  If you only drink occasionally, pay attention to whether your bathroom problems are associated with it.  If so, then you should be taking a multiple vitamin downed with a ton of water whenever you drink, along with all the other suggestions.  If you would like to quit drinking, best advice I can give you is what Spencer Tracy said, "Find something else you like to do."  Like get into gardening, digging in the dirt and eating fresh food will work wonders on your mind and your body.  Me, 25 years ago, I got addicted to TV instead...keeps me off the streets.

I hope some of these suggestions help you out.
