joint pain and crohn's

joint pain and crohn's

i have had crohn's for 10 years and have had one bowel resection about 3 years ago-
about a year ago i started getting really tired and even basic tasks seemed monumental
then about 2 months ago my joints started to hurt- mostly hands knees and ankles/feet/toes-
one of my thumbs is deformed - but i don't have swelling like is usual in RA so they are
doing tests and think it is a form related to crohn's- the dr is talking about first trying some
anti-malaria drug before going to biologics which terrify me- does anyone else have similar
symptoms and if so what has helped- right now i am not having a crohn's flare but i have this
awful joint pain with little or no swelling- also from reading other's comments i realize i have a
fissure and wonder if there are any over counter creams that help?
