just a thought that young kids with lots of nausea like like that might have abdominal migraines. my son had lots of "stomach aches" when he wasn't able to define them well, and was treated with zantac and pepcid. He began getting true migraines when he was about 9-10 yrs old. He's now on migraine preventatives and doing MUCH better. Not sure what they do for the abdominal ones though.
I also have chronic migraines but I also have chronic, daily nausea and weight loss. Found out about 3 months ago that I had mild heart failure (only the shortness of breath
which I though was severe, uncontrolled asthma for months even though we were treating it appropriately) but heart failure can cause nausea and loss of appetite. Today at a follow up with my cardiologist, he said that since my other symptoms have improved, it's time to dig deeper into the chronic nausea. So back to square one. I take so many meds for nausea it's ridiculous but since treating the heart failure at least I can eat a bit.
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! In children, one can suspect abdominal migraines if the child is having abdominal pain (usually in a pattern), has a strong family
