lap choly slashed gallstones

As the surgeon said,in the lap choly during the removal of the gall some gall stones escaped in the omentum maybe because the bladder broke. He said there is no danger at all.
I wonder if this is the truth.
Thanks in advance

The omentum is a fatty layer in the abdominal cavity - are you sure he said omentum and not abdomen? In either case, if gallstones ended up in the abdomen they probably shouldn't cause any problems. In many cases, when anything that does not belong in the abdominal cavity ends up there, the body will try to attack it and/or wall it off to make sure it doesn't affect the organs near it.

The surgeon said that while he tried to remove the bile bladder through the belly-button some small gall  stones escaped in the omentum. I hope they won't harm me a lot.
Thank you very much
