left side pain /back stomach/itchy

For along time now probably five years,I have left side pain that has an annoying ache,dull,feels like something is there and comes with annoying itch it drives me crazy.Its in the side and back directly behind the stomach.When I lay down it hurts.I sometimes get burning with it.It comes and goes.I have had it now for 2months.It causes pain right under the rib cage area,thats the whole area Im talking about.The doctor thinks its due to stress,and said IBS acts that way and gave me miralx to take,allign,and dicocylimene.I still have the pain so he said he would do a ct scan.All the blood work came back normal.I have no Gallbladder.He said that the serotonon part of the brain goes right to the stomach and that if your stressed will cause that.It puts your stomach in spasms.Its a mystery the itchness and sometimes hot feeling drives me crazy.
