left side pain

by vak1971, Mar 27, 2009 03:54PM

I am suffering from a severe left side pain that sometimes doubles me over. Sometimes it feels like a sharp muscular pain and sometimes it feels like a painful stomach cramp. It is not a constant issue, it comes and goes. one month I wont feel it and then the next month I suffer for a week. I have been to the doctor and had ct scans and ultrasounds, I was put on a medication called flomax and was told I have kidney stones, but I have been suffering from this pain since I was a teenager. I know that it is not my kidney stones. Is there another area to look into about this symptom that I can talk to my doctor about? because nothing is working.
