leg spasms

In the evening sitting in my chair(reclined sometimes) my legs have spasms. They go away after I eat a banana. I
was told it was because of low potassium(sorry if thats not spelled right). Is that it or could it be something else? Thanks for any help.

Low potassium can cause leg cramps, and since they are relieved by eating a banana, I think this is your problem.  But now you need to find out why your potassium is being depleted.  It's usually thru BP medications that contain a diuretic.  If you are on BP medication then this is most likely the problem, and a doctor will usually tell you to eat a banana every day.  Mine had me on a potassium supplement, and then I switched to one without a diuretic.  Hope this helps.
