liver biopsy/perforated colon

is it possible to perforate a colon during a liver biopsy?

i had a liver biopsy and later that night i was preparing for a colonscopy and about a 1/2 hour into drinking the medicine i was in extreme pain they had to emergency surgery and remove a portion of my colon that had perforated and they havent given me a reason as to how or why my colon suddenly perforated which now has left me with a colostomy bag that maynot be reversible...can u please give me some input onto to whether or not the liver biopsy could have caused this or if the medicine could have caused this...
