llq pain

I have had llq pain for over a year now.  I have had CT scans,  had a hida scan,  gallbladder ultrasound,  ovarian ultrasound & three days ago I had exploratory by my gynacologist to look for endometriosis.  She says my female organs look perfect.

This pain,  when I get it,  is horrible,  it's a stabbing like pain and I just can't stand it any more. Has anyone ever experienced a sudden pain that comes out of nowhere like this?  I'd say it happens maybe 2 or 3 times a month,  for no apparent reason,  and nothing shows up on a CT. If it were diverticulitis,  would it neccesarily show up on a CT? I am out of ideas & the docs are starting to look at me like I am a hypochondriac,  which is not the case.

The test that diagnoses diverticulosis is a colonoscopy.  If you have it and the diverticula get infected, then it is called diverticulitis.  Check out this forum:

Might I add that when this happens it feels like there is a hardness in there.  I mean,  I can stick my hand on my lower left abdomen & it feels like a lump or like something is swollen & hard there.  When it doesn't hurt it's just soft & normal feeling tummy there.
