long term constipation symptoms

Does anyone else experience the following or have any advice?
I have always suffered from constipation (I am 42). After some days I will tend to get a strong urge to defecate. Some time after this I will experience fatique/faintness, frequent pale urination, often diarrhea, tenderness around the belly button, and general feeling of unwellness. The symptoms seem to me to be triggered by the initial bowel movement. I do not suffer stomach pain. It takes some days to feel better and the cycle begins again. Symptoms are worst in the evening. The symptoms have developed over several years. Now I take anti-depressants to cope since I cannot lead a normal life.
I tried colonic irrigation. Halfway through as the water reached midway down my colon I suddenly felt sick and had to stop the treatment.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a diet very high in fibre - to include:-

- fresh pulversied vegetables to which bran has been added
- fresh pulverised fruit to which bran has been added
- yoghurt + bran
- wholemeal bread
- homemade muesli (oats+ bran soaked in milk to which grated fruit/nuts have been added)
- ~ 2 ;litres of water per day
- no prcessed foods/fast foods etc.

That might help
