loose motions and diarrhea

I had diarrhea and loose motions for 3 weeks, due I think to some reheated chicken, before seeing  my doctor who took a stool sample and a blood test. She suggested I eat a bland diet with no vegetables, fruit or dairy for two weeks.  I am seeing her next week for the result of the tests and in the meantime I am faithfully following a bland diet of rice and chicken breast and fish, and porridge and white bread.  I was expecting my motions to firm up with this starchy diet but they have remained loose and in the last day or two I have had a recurrence of diarrhea.  I am getting tired of the diet and feeling really concerned that my stools have not firmed up.  Do you think with this diet they should be by now.  Thank you for any help.
