Hello all! Im 18, a college freshman hoping to become a great doctor someday! Anyways, ill get to the matter of it. Ive been in utter pain and discomfort without being able to get a full-deep breath
for a little over 3 months now. After multiple visits to the doctor, and many tests, docs think im healthy. Rightfully so, my tests are near perfect, my BP keeps coming back about 120/80 every time, near perfect. However, I feel like s***. I dont do drugs, ot drink, im naturally a very anxious person! However I went through some really tough personal/family problems, and ever since that time, (a few months ago), I just haven't felt right. :( I experience occasional chest pains, abdominal pain, right under the breastbone, and pretty much everywhere lol, cant breathe ALL THE TIME, constipation, and sometimes trouble swallowing
, but every once in a while, ill get really bad pain before a bowel movement and it just ends up being lose. :( my GP suggested IBS. And I took that into account. We ran two chest xrays, an abdominal CT scan, all sorts of bloodwork, and abd. Ultrasound, An echocardiogram, holter
monitor, etc, all came back fine!. Lol and btw im normally a really healthy guy, has never really gotten sick before, *knock on wood* jog, play sports all the time, but I just dont know, and im super frustrated like you wouldn't believe! I still have one more heart test to run next week, the treadmill stress test, because I go near Atrial
in the heart. I think I will ask for a scope though, for some reason I really think it's a hiatal hernia I have all the symptoms, but my GP promised that after the CT scan that I dont have one! If anyone out there can help I would be grateful! :)please dot know where to go from here.
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! Most of your symptoms could be caused by anxiety and stress. I would recommend talking to a doctor about ways to deal with your anxiety (therapy, medications, etc.) and see if that helps your symptoms.
