  for the past 3.5 weeks i have had pain below my belly button going across my stomach it kind feels like gas but it just seems to linger the pain did go away for a few days but they are back now as constant as ever im 39 years young male 6 ft 188 pounds. iwent to my dr and they checked my pancres-gall bladder-prostrate-hernia im going for a scope next week .i also forgot to mention i urinate often and sometimes get pain in my right lower back .my groin area is also affected sort of like a qeazzy feeling. if any one has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!!! thank you

Dear Dave,
The pains that you describe could result from gastrointestinal as well as renal
(kidney) diseases.  If the pains persist or if you devlop other problems e.g. fever, weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, bllod in the urine, further workup is required.  Tests could include endoscopy, barium xrays of colon and small intestine, ultrasound of liver, pancreas and kidneys.  A more detailed history is needed in order to prioritize the sequence of tests.
