many symptoms, a bit frightened--please share your stories

Hello all. First off, I know this post may run fairly long...I apologize in advance. Also, I know that not all of the symptoms I'm posting are necessarily related, but I'm just posting  them in hopes of someone relating.

I am 26 years old, been fairly healthy my entire life...only ailments prior to this year have been the average cold/flu and pneumonia on a few occasions.

About 3 months ago, I got a naval infection which also included a mysterious fleshy growth inside the belly button. My general care physician just froze it off and gave me local antibiotic for it. No problems since.

Shortly thereafter, I noticed that upon waking up in the mornings, I would have a slightly weaker urine stream, accompanied by hesitancy. This still happens fairly regularly.

For about the same length of time (about 2 months), I've had slightly flatter stools...definitely not ribbon-thin or pencil-thin, but slightly flatter than normal.

About a month ago, I had a very mild, dull pain in my left testicle. The testicle itself felt like it was sitting slightly higher than normal, and felt a little bit harder than the other. The doctor gave me an exam and said all seems normal. He prescribed ciprofloxacin in case of an infection. No problems since.

Something else that was mysterious: normally when I brush my tongue, I have a strong gag reflex. About a month ago, when I was gagging and I coughed rather hard a couple of times, I spit out blood. It wasn't gushing or pouring out, but it was a good amount. This hasn't happened since.

Lastly, about 2 weeks ago, as I was driving home from work, I had a STRONG urge to have a bowel movement. It was so strong, in fact, that I feared I wouldn't make it home in time to...properly relieve myself. Thankfully I did, but after I had emptied my bowels, I noticed a bright red clump of blood sitting on  the very top. It was a significant amount of blood...so much that I had to wipe the rest off with toilet tissue. It seriously seemed like something had burst in there.

Lately, I've been very slightly nauseous (on and off) as of late. It comes and goes every so often. It is sometimes accompanied by a very mild stomach pain. It's not so much a shooting pain or a sharp pain...it really mostly feels like I just got finished doing 50 or 60 sit-ups. Also, I get tired a little sooner at night. I find myself turning in around 8:45 or 9pm as opposed to 10 or 10:30. I don't know if this is attributed to the winter weather or to anemia.

Basically, it feels like I hit 26 and my body fell apart. I've seen 3 specialists and have a colonoscopy scheduled for January...I was just looking for any input anyone may have as to my symptoms. Thank you all for lending an ear.

That's such a relief to hear...never having experienced one before, I was a bit apprehensive about the procedure.

Great tip about the tape recorder, thank you.

Anyone else experienced similar symptoms?

get an upper GI and the colonoscopy too.  I just had one yesterday- did not feel a thing.  Make sure you have a friend bring a little recorder with them to get all the doc says on tape.
