Chip...I think you mean to join the diseased part that has been removed, and now healed...To join the two intestines is called an "anastamosis"
This is when the two sections are joined and sutured....people do very well that have this done...

I'm assuming you have a colostomyColostomy Colostomy - series due to having your colon removed. If this is the case then it is a temporary colostomyColostomy Colostomy - series, and your surgeons would already have plans in place to re-connect you 3 months after surgery. If you only had a section removed, the same applies.
This is when the two sections are joined and sutured....people do very well that have this done...
