misplaced pancreatic duct sten

by spiderwebil, Aug 09, 2009 07:00PM

During a recent ERCP to remove liver bile stones a stent migrated into the pancreatic duct.  After 2 hours of futile attempts to remove the stent the MD decided to stop.  I am now trying to recover, having  a lot of discomfort with lower limb swelling, lack of appetite, abdominal distention, slight temp.  I am suppose to see the GI doctor in two weeks.  My question is:  What are the options I have in regard to the stent that is now in the tail of the pancreas?  I really don't want to go through this again as I"m pretty miserable.  The GI Doctor who did the ERCP  is top rated, but in my case that didn't help me
