I am a 26 year old femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction. 2 years ago while I was pregnant I noticed when I would have a bowel movement, there would be mucus, brightBright beginnings red in the toilet. The bloodyBloody or tarry stools mucus would be totally separate from my bowel movement. When this would happen, I would feel like I had to go to the bathroom numerous times, but nothing would come out but this bloodyBloody or tarry stools mucus. Symptoms that came with this were cramps and feeling as if I had to use the bathroom. My stools are soft and loose a majority of the time so I didn't really think it could be hemorrhoids. Sometimes I noticed it more when I drank atleast 2 cups of caffinated coffee and thought maybe it has to do with the caffine. While I was pregnant it would happen here and there and it has been atleast 10 months where this hasn't happend, now all of a sudden, it has started up and I don't know what to think...someone, please help!
Always seek medical advice for rectal bleeding which is never normal. Type in "rectal bleeding" to google/yahoo and click on to one of the many sites that describes this symptom etc. Then you will be better informed when you discuss with your doctor.
If there is any doubt with the diagnopsis - or any vagueness - I suggest that you ask for a colonoscopy.
