my son has been bleeding from the bowels

can anyone help my 15 year old son has been bleeding from the bowels for two weeks now.he has spent the last 9 days in hospital,they have done all the test they can do.but found no cause.the bledding has got worse took him back to hospital with no joy.please help worried dad.

Hi - rectal bleeding is never normal and should always be investigated until a definite cause is found. For possible causes type in rectal bleeding to google/yahoo etc so that you are better informed when you continue your consultations with your son's doctors.
Usually the test that reveals the causes is a colonoscopy and/or endoscopy. Have these procedures been tried?
I don't know the expertise/prestige/reputation of the hospital you have already visited - but if everything fails then I suggest that you try again at a major medical centre that specialises in G.I. diseases.
