nausia from fluid-Dr refured me to gastroenterology

I was recently in hospital due to tachycardia. The cardiologist refured me to a gastroenteroligist after I said I struggle to drink enough fluid every day I feel yuck, nausious, I feel like liquid makes me sea sick almost. It sits in my belly and sloches around.

I also get intergestion more since my 4th child was born.

I'm wondering what to expect???????/

thank you very much

I'm a waiting list to see GI, I'm also on a waiting list to see a dietition(because I'm over weight and having trouble loosing it), and my Dr just refured me to a ENT(because my sinus's are almost alway blocked) as well,

I just hope to get some of issues sorted if I can. No point living my whole life with some thing if it was fixable or treatable.

Can some one just rub me out and start me again it would be easier.

Thank you

I think you should see the GI doctor and ask for a swallow study just to make sure everything is okay.  If everything from that comes back okay, then you should try some heartburn medication like prevacid or prilosec.

I had some issues with drinking since I was a kid. long story short I grew up with a lot of rule to the point that I now suspect my mum had/has OCD. I was not meant to go the fridge for a drink unless my sis and bro both wanted a drink as the same time. My sis made that hard for because if she would just as controlling as my mum but veary mean about it. I suspect that I became a little OCD about drinking my self, BUT over the years as I felt I got better with drinking of fluids I could not understand why I felt so yuck after drink.

For years it was not uncommen for me only drink a glass or 2 of liguid a day till I about 24y old and suffereing really badly from constipation, fatuige, joint pain's, Dizziness speically when lying down I needed at least 3 pillow (or felt like my head was lower than bod)y and a lot of other things. I loved medical book and my had got me a basic family type medical book. I was never really told what dehydration does to a body so I decided out of curiousity to look it up. After reading the symptoms I was surprised lol I should not have been I knew dehydration was bad I was always telling other people to drink but I'd forget to drink my. I read that some time with prolonged dehydration a person may even loose the thirst responce. That when I really felt WOW. I really dont get thirsty, Or at least i did not till recently.

I made a serious effort to drink after that, I always keep a bottle with me or forget to drink still. The dizziness when laying down is 100% better now I can even lay flat that resolved as soon as I drank more. So did many of the issues I was struggling with. I'm 32 now and struggle to drink the 8-10 glass a day still or what ever it is. It's a hard feellng to discribe really. I still dont know if my OCD or something els. I'm feeling thirsty these day and it bothers be till I drink enough. I also get nausious alot some time I can drink and drink but most of the time I have to really push my self to sip all day long and distract my self how I'm feeling or I will want to give up trying to drink.

I have this other issues that reminds me of the feeling that I feel latly when I drink. I have never been able to hold anything in my mouth. You know when you often got your hand full and you searching for right key, have you used you mouth to help you find it. I cant do this and if for some reason I do put anything in my mouth temporarily and forget or for some reason leave it there for more a fue a second's, I will gag and will drop it. I once dropped a set of car keys in the toilet because I stupidly forgot that I gag when I put things in my mouth(teeth or any thing). My OCD it was making me feel like some one would reach under the cubical wall and take them.

I also have big issues eating meat. I cant swallow meat, I some time struggle to even swallow tablet's I have to have liquid in my mouth first and even then if the tablet touches the wrong part of mouth I will gag. I have to seriously concentrate when swallowing tablet's. I also have to relax before I take tablet or I will not swallow them. Meat is my biggest issue. I've never been able to swallow it specially alone, my portion of meat compared to my veg and pasta or potatoe is very small proberly not even 50g of meat most of the time. I eat mince, or chicken as well. if they feel to dry I cant eat them and my idea of dry is so extream compared to other people. I also have to cut the meat really small and it has to go in mouth with a mix of everything. Even then I often have remove everything from my mouth or at least the meat portion if I can. I got in trouble as kids lots for this. I was told I being rediculous and to stop being rude but I seriously felt if the food did not come out of my mouth right then and there I more than the food in mouth would end up coming up as well. I was forced to eat to a fue time and did throw up as well. Even then I was told I did that purpose. I dont feel I caused it.

While I feel there is a element of OCD involved with my eating and drinking I also feel there are some real symptoms behind why I developed OCD about food and drink as well. I'd rather not eat in public or around people specially when meat is involved. If there is meat I will often just ask for veg etc so I dont have any embarresing moment of having to spit my food out. It never happens with veg or pasta or any other food even when I avode meat and normall anxiety issues find a new avenue to make you scared in the same kinds of situation. In other word if this was caused by anxiety I'm sure this problem would be also happening to me with veg etc. I also dont think it's anxiety because even when I'm alone and feeling great about food and still cant eat meat. I have grown to love the flavour meat even stack and lamb(not pork only the crackling) I even some time crave the meat but when I start eating its the same old story. i cant swallow it or I struggle to swallow it. Nothing els about meat make me feel like I might gag I dont even get the feeling when I think about what happens which often happen if its and anxiety thing. It just happens when I try to swallow.

the intergestion issues is more since 4th child I had it lots when I was pregnant for the first time and never fully got over it after he was born. I get gas heap and feel full alot even when I have not had much. Some times its too hard to eat anything till the full feeling go's away. I have suffered from IBS symptoms since I was kid but there at there worst these day's I'm eating and drinkin way better than any time in my entire life I really feel like I trying to do the right thing all round but my body seems to hate me.

I just want to loose weight and be healthy and I dont feel healthy when I get strange symptoms making it hard to eat the food's that I really want to eat.

I supose this is my last option to help with this problem if they cant do anything I'll have to live with it. I doubt they can help, I really do. I know nothing about the problems that might be happening to cause what I'm going threw but I give anything a go. Unless a tumor or groth of some kind is causing my symptoms in a strange place I dont really see another way that this area can help that why I was asking what to expect. I have no real idea what really happens when you go to a GI specilist.

thank you.

I hard to know what to expect because gastroenterologists differ greatly.  The GI doctor will probably run some basic blood tests and maybe to tests for reflux or gastroparesis (which both kind of sound like what you are having).  How long has this been going on for?
