When did you have the surgery?  Was it by Laparoscopic?  Make sure he has done lots of this surgery and is a bariatric dr.

Good luck.

Yes, lots of people have not been happy with their Nissen.  However, I was lucky and the Dr. I used had also preformed my bowel resection.  I knew he was great and had a lot of confidence in him.  Maybe the wrap was too tight or has come loose.  I would ask him what tests would show that the wrap was loose and needed to be redone.

well we tried meds.. and then more meds...he did say it might be too tight and he did the "balloon" thing to loosen it up that helped for like a day .. we did this like 3 times and it always gets tight again.

looks like ijust might have to live with this drowning and tighness felling i have all the time or go under agian.. :( really not looking forward to either one

If he does the wrap again, insist that he do a loose wrap.  Hopefully he is capable and can do the loose wrap.  Apparently it is harder to do.

My dr. said he could offer me the loose wrap and was good at doing them.  I know he sounds cocky.  But he was able to do my bowel resection by lapo with hand assist and I trusted him completely.

Ask your dr. why he did a tight wrap.  If necessary find another dr and get a second opinion.  Find one that says he does loose wraps.
