As constant as the sun coming up each day, every time I SIT down at a business meeting...about an hour into the meeting my stomach starts rumbling and making noise, I'm not hungry, no pain, don't need to pass gas...but the noises are embarrassing me to early death...what do you think I could take before a meeting to stop this noise...I've tried tums but they don't help...

An ulcer, GERD, or irritable bowel syndrome can all lead to the symptoms.

Further evaluation can be done with an upper GI series or upper endoscopy.

If negative, more specialized testing like an abdominal ultrasound can be done to evaluate the liver and gallbladder.

If the testing remains non-diagnostic, evaluation for irritable bowel syndrome can be considered.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
