not having bowel movements

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter is not having regular bowel movements.  We have been advised to use anemas twice and they work but we were told to get her to go naturally and it has been 5 days and she is becoming lackadaisical.  What next?

I would follow a high fiber diet with her.  Apple sauce also seems to work and well as prune juice.  Also try increasing her water intake!  Good luck!!

Hi i have problems in that my bowels have completly stopped working (see my post)
Although nothing has managed to get my bowels going a few good laxatives that are quite gentle include:

Senacot
Dulcolax/dulcosate
Lactose
And a herbal one called 'nature's tnt'

These will hopefully get her going without causing a violent bowel movement.

Good luck
let me know how it goes
