I hurt terribly above my ribs, right below my chest. Pain has spread to left shoulder, but also right at times, left is just worse. I see above that each side dictates to either cardiovascular or stomach.
I'm 36 yr old male. A bit overweight.
I'm thinking it's gas, and not a serious condition. I can lay on one side and release gas.
Id appreciate any feedback. Thank you
Likely this is an issue with the gallbladder. The gallbladder is attached to the liver and is located just behind the lower part of the ribcage on the right side of the body. This area is known as the "Upper Right Quadrant" (URQ). Pain in this area always alerts a physician to first check the Gallbladder. The Gallbladder also refers pain to the right shoulder. If the shoulder and jaw pain was on the LEFT side of the body, the heart and cardiovascular system should be evaluated and clinical correlation is required. Other less likely considerations would be accute myocardial infarction, gas, indigestion, intercostal neuritis, and diverticulitis.
hi, it just might be your diaphram rubbing against each other, how were you sitting at the time? also it might have been a gallbladder stone passing through you common bile duct, cheers.
