pain after colostomy reversal

Almost two years ago I had to have an emergency colostomy and rectal repair due to a motorcycle accident. I had a severe rectal injury. I finally had the reversal 1 year ago. During the time I had the colostomy, I developed diversion colitis. My surgeon told me that it would correct itself after the reversal surgery. I am now having at times some blood and mucus when I have a BM. I also have had some severe cramping near my incision (where the colostomy was) and pain that is similar to the diversion colitis. I have always struggled with constipation but it seems to be getting worse. Is it possible that the colitis has came back. Any help with would be appreciated. The surgeon that performed the 2nd rectal surgery and then the reversal has moved to another state. Thank you.
