pain in LUQ, radiating to back

I have been diagnosed w/ GERD & a peptic ulcer. Before I had an endoscopy my main symptom was heartburn. Endoscopy showed stomach ulcer w/ 2 "holes" in stomach on L(where ulcer is eating away tissue--not sure what to call this). There was no bleeding & H pylori test came back negative.

I was taking 40 mg of Protonix & dr said to inc. to 80 mg. Also taking pepcid complete. I started having severe, stabbing, sharp pains yesterday while bike riding. I ate dinner about an hour & a half before. Called dr's answering service & actually spoke to my dr. This is when he said to  up my dosage of Protonix. It helped the pain temporarily but then it came back & started radiating to L & into my back. Went to ER--they did a chest x ray, CT of abdomen, & blood work & everything came back normal. I'm still having the pain now. Could this just be ulcer related pain? I was diagnosed w/ ulcer 2 weeks ago & had endoscopy 1 week ago. Been on meds for 2 weeks.

I'm really tired of being in pain everyday, especially since it's getting worse but yet I have no other symptoms. What other tests should I have? Should I just be seeing my GI for this?
