My 25 year old husband suffers from pain in his left shoulder region after he eats anything. He described this pain as a shooting pain which travels up from the top left chest to the left shoulder and can often feel numb. The doctor prescribed triple antibiotics for helicobactor pylori but the pain is still there. Any suggestions as this pain actually takes his breath away with the severity of it.
that type of pain is quite common with stomach problems ,gallbladder, liver, will all throw pain up to the left.
was he tested for h-pylori.or does he have an ulcer
try keeping on a low acid ,low fat diet for a spell
eat smaller meals u know 6 smaller instead of 3 bigger to reduce the load and may help with the pain.
i would also recommend him taking probioicts if he is on 3 antibiotics as these will effect the gut flora.
he is probably better off staying away from nsaid 's for now
