After a bout with 6 wk virus and dose of ciproCipro Cipro hc Cipro i.v. Cipro xr for (what was thought to be diverticulitis) started having pain under front/back right ribRib cage pain cage. A few weeks later same pain under front/back left side ribRib cage pain cage. Have had few episodes where feels like food not moving out of stomach very quickly. Have had occasional stabbing pains up in right chest area and corresponding in back side under right shoulder shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain blade (assume Gall bladder). Had an ultrasound-no stones and all organsOrgan-1 nr look fine. Blood work for liver function test was normalNormal saline flush. Feel very dehydrated during the night and drinking 7-9 bottles of water a day. BS is normal. Intern is perplexed. Any thoughts?
I think he needs to do more tests. Believe it or not, my gallstones were found on a simple xray. The ultrasound was NORMAL. I had a certain type of stone ( they were black, forget what they were called) that wouldn't show up on ultrasound as they would "ping" off it it and make it appear normal.
Ask for a simple xray and a referral to a GI doctor. you needone.
