pain under my rib cage

I need to know this as soon as possible. Under my left rib cage all the way in the bottom when i place my hand between hip and end of my rib  and if i lean a little to the left side something pops out like a bump?? It feels very hart like a bone. I never feel any sharp pain exept discomfort around that area, left back shoulder pain, and my stomach feels  blowed all the time, and sometimes nauser. Can you please tell me what could it be i iam so affraid that this my be cancer. I have an doc. appt. on monday two days from now but i can't wait its killing me.  
I am 25 years old and have a nine month old baby. Could the pregnancy cause any rib damage?? I don't even know what could be under the rib especially left side??

Difficult the say without examination.  

Imaging the area of concern is the recommended next step.  To evaluate the bones, a plain x-ray can be considered.

More extensive imaging with an ultrasound or CT can be done if a GI etiology is suspected.  

If cancer is of concern, I would consider a CT scan.  Excluding cancer in the GI tract would require either an upper or lower endoscopy.

Hernia?

I finally found out what it is. I have couple of kidney stones. Now I know what to do and not to worry of worst. To me it was just weird because I had an abdominal ct-scan 4 months ago, it was normal even though discomfort and pain under my rib cage was there at that time. How could they miss it?? Than I had ultra sound two weeks after ct-scan MISS it again?? Last week when I went to see my doc. I told him that I am not imagining and that I need one more ultra sound focusing just on that particular side. Guess what there it was couple of kidney stones. Not that I am happy to have it I am happy to know what was bothering me every day for 9 month. My message for everyone out there is don’t give up you know your body the best.
