Hi there!

Atrophy refers to a reduction in the size of the pancreas. Fatty infiltration of the pancreas could occur secondary to a few causes such as diabetes, increases weight, hyperlipidemia, chronic inflammation etc. Management in such cases would largely be aimed at control of precipitating factors. I would suggest discussing the situation and the suggested management plan in detail with your treating doctor.
