I would like to start with telling you about the conditions I have. My pancreas does not produce digestive enzymes, even though the structure of the tissue is just fine. Because my pancreas does not produce those enzymes, I was prescribed creon 10000 capsules (2-4) with each meal (3 times a day). It was working pretty well. But for the last couple of days I am having symptoms like slippery stool with undigested bits in it. It is a bit wattery but there is no pain no blood or nothing. I was diagnosed with endosopy and colonoscopy on the 19th june 2008 and the internal structure was fine. They also did ultrasound of the pancrease and the structure was fine too. So I was given enzyme supplement i.e. creon capsules to see how i respond to this. I started gaining weight again (I lost 15 KG from 2007-2008). The increase in weight was steady and I felt I was getting better. But for the last couple of days I am feeling bad, weak. These are the symptoms I had while I was very ill in the mid 2007 till 2008 when i was diagnosed. Doctors don't really know what it is because even if I take those capsules, I am unable to digest oily food, green vegitable, dairy product (so no milk
). Therefore I dont get enough minerals and vitamines which are vital for me to grow and focus onto my study, as I am first year medical student. The recent stools seems to me as if there are some over growth of bacteria as I am getting slippery stool with high concentration of mucus in it. My stool is floating there and i do get pencil shaped stool. Sometimes my stool is not floating but not solid. It looks like the formation of the stool in the colon is incomplete.
I am really getting stressed out with my university work load and my health, because all it is doing is making me weaker. I am really getting weak everyday and I really am uncertain about my future. I am just 18 and now I am having these and I see no improvement. I dont know what is coming up next in my life.
