really??!!! how much would you need to take? why does this happen?

It does! I was really nauseated one time for several days and couldn't eat or drink, and kept chewing pepto bismol tablets. My tongue turned black. I thought I was dying (exaggeration) until I realized it was a combination of the dehydration and the tablets coating my tongue!

I get a black tongue from just one dose. I believe it says somewhere in the packaging this is a possibility. It's disgusting, but harmless!
