persistent/chronic loose stool

persistent/chronic loose stool

Was hoping someone might have additional insight to my issue...For the past 2-3 months, I have had a persistent issue of high volume, very rank loose stools generally in the morning after having one more formed BM. the stools also appear to have more partially digested food in them vs. what would be considered normal. In addition, I haven't felt "normal"...I typically go through the day with a "foggy" head and little energy. Not dizzy, but just not alert and clear headed.  Sometimes I'm a little lightheaded. I've been to both internal med physician and GI PA. Antibiotics have done nothing, blood tests and stool samples didn't provide and clues. I've tried pro-biotics, Fibercon, and charcoal caps, which have helped a little, but not completely. Now I'm likely looking at a colonoscopy according to the GI PA. I haven't had any weight loss, nor is there any stomoach pain outside of gas/bloating feeling and hunger feeling. My apetite is also normal. I'm fairly young (37), so I'm hoping someone might have some additional insight or suggestions.

Thanks!

Do you chew sugarless gum? I have found that when I do this regularly I have the same issues. About the head fog--have you tried a long-acting antianxiety med? Klonopin helps me.
