please can some one help me

hi im a 23 year old male and i have had ongoing problems with gas and indegestion for 3 years now. my gas gets bad at times and get stuck in my throte. feeling like a ball stuck down there, its hard for me to talk. also have pain just below my chest in my diafragm area. also gas pain in my small intestin. but usually just bloted. the gas usually doesnt smell at all. i saw a doc and was prescribed mylanta gas and omeprazole an acid reducer. i have been taking the acid reducer for a week and a half and it seems to be making my symptome worse. i alwayse feel hungry but my stomach always feels full. i have been constipated for about a month now. i pas tool about once a day just just very small amounts and its very hard to get out. its usually soft and a green or light brown color. does not smell gas pressure had been going on for months i cant take this any more. i was thinking it could be gastroparesis or hypochlorhydria which is too low stomach acid. i think i also have an overpopulation of bacteria in my gut which is causing me all this gas. any one can help me find out whats wrong with me. any input would be nice.
thanx josh.
ps. let me know if you need any more info on this.

1. If you think omeprazole worsened your symptoms speak with the doctor about dropping it (don't drop it suddenly).

2. Try 3-4 days of low-fructose diet. If you have fructose malabsorption this should help.
http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/21247?personal_page_id=801

3. Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is possible , there is a breath test with lactulose for it. For fructose malabsorption there is a breath test with fructose. Both are performed by gastroenterologist.

4. Have a test for Helycobacter pylori infection. H. pylori affects only stomach and duodenum, so it would cause only upper abdominal bloating. It's another breath test for this.

In meantime - drink enough of fluid (no need to exaggerate) together with bread or cereals - this is to give your stool some volume and softness. Avoid sugary foods, soda, beer, honey and fruits mentioned in above link. Avoid hig-fibre foods like cabbage or legumes. Try whole-grain bread, brown-rice, non-wheat pasta, green salad, spinach, bananas, oranges. Drink water or tea only.

Have that low-fructose diet trial first.

i had an H pilory test and a blood count done which both came out normal.
how do you normally drop the omeprezole i stoped taking it like 2 days ago
my parents sent me to a nutrisionist who told me to drink a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in the morning and ginger tea at night. they also suggest alovera juice. they told me to not eat any fruits around the same time as meals because they can ferment or something. but ill give your low fructose diet a try see how i feel after. i have already lost a bit of weight because of this and im thin to begin with so i cant affort to loose any more. thanx for your help boron

Omeprazole - I guess you've taken it for a month or so only, so dropping it should not be a big problem.

Bloating always has some exact cause that may be found. Will tell you straight - adding aloe vera, ginger tea and such into a diet just like that does not sounds serious for me.

I recomend you low-fructose diet. Be sure to avoid fructose, HFCS, sorbitol as much as possible for 3-4 days. If this will help you may assume you have fructose malabsorption (FM) that can be confirmed by a breath test.

Next you have the same 3-4 days trial with lactose-free diet. Lactose intolerance usually causes bloating and diarrhea.

If this trials won't help, ask gastroenterologist for breath test with lactulose (or xylose) - for SIBO.

Do you burp execivelly? Or the ball stuck in your throat is like a heartburn - acidic burning feeling? Or bitter feeling?

after i burp the feeling of a ball in my throte goes away for a short time. right now i am more woried about my constipation seems like my digestive system is almost at a stand still i may have  gastroparesis which is what im afraid of. but i am not a diabetic so this is not as likely. i also just quit smoking 2 weeks ago and now suffer from flem (phlegm) in my lungs and asthma symptoms. but this could still be reminants from the swine flu i had almost 2 weeks ago. in all my life sux right now it seems like nothing is going right for my health. and it is all hitting me at once. im staying away from the items you said not to eat. but im not a cook so i have to ask for certain things lol.

This should be ok:
Whole-meal or whole grain bread, white or brown rice, pasta, potatoes, corn meal and other corn products, oatmeal and other from oats, morning cereals, salad, spinach and most of other vegetables except cabbage and legumes (that are high-fibre), bananas, oranges, grapefruit, kiwi. Water, tea.

Avoid:
Honey, plums, prunes, cherries, pears, apples...most fruits actually except those mentioned above. Avoid large amount of wheat, like loads of white bread.
Avoid sweets and heavy sugary/fatty meals like cakes, chocolate, pizza, cheese.

Avoid dry food like cookies. When you eat cereals or bread have a good amount of water or tea with it.

3 months now and im still constipated nothing is getting any better. i tryed your low fructose diet and seems not not be helping. i think there is some kind of blockage in there somewhere but i have been having small bowel movements every day. but very small. i also have developed  hunger pains. i feel like im starving all day. i have been eating like 1 breakfast 3 lunches and 1 dinner every day along with lots of snacks but im still staying clear of fructose as much as posible. i have lots of gas which has now become very smelly. befor it had no smell. it also is very hot air. i also have a fuzzy headed feeling that comes and goes but is much worse at night time. i feel really bad. this is starting to scare me. im going to another doctor on thursday.... still have not seen a specialist... which i think is BS! i hate these doctors they dont give a ****.

Josh,

try to continue avoiding foods that result in gas: high fructose, dairy, sugar (sweets, soda..), alcohol, and high-fibre like legumes.

You may ask gastroenterologist for test for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). Symptoms of SIBO are: bloating, burping, early satiety, diarrhea OR constipation. Also increased appetite (despite early satiety)...

Hunger pains may appear in low blood sugar..together with dizziness...
