i have colon problems i can go 6wks or longer before haveing a bowel movement. one yr ago i have a colon reduction but that didn't seem to help much it has been a ongoing thing for yrs i guess it started about 3yrs ago but in the past year in half has gotten worse i am on 10 differnt laxitives aday some which i take three times a day and nothing helps.i look like i am about 8 months pregnant i can't eat cause my stomache cramps or i will get sick can you help me
If you look on the other forum (the "ask the doctor" one) you will see a question back in August from a patient called mifegr together with answers/comments etc.
I recall that this lady has been advised to undergo a total colectomyLarge bowel resection for what appear, on the surface, to be similar similar problems to those that you faceFace pain.
Hence I suggest that you might like to ask your G.I. specialist if your condition and discomfort could be cured by a total colectomyLarge bowel resection (or another term is "ileorectal anastomosis".

This is a major operation - I underwent it for torrential rectal bleeding - but it may help in the long run. Do please search out and read the input that I have referred to abopve.
