thank you soo much ,, it helpd alot
Hi there!
Possible causes of increased frequency of stools include GI infections, inflammations, primary GI motility causes, hormonal/ endocrine issues, electrolyte imbalance, dietary causes, medication side effect etc. The frequency of bowel movements is highly variable among individuals and could be anywhere between once in 7-10 days to several times a day. Passage of stools once or twice a day without other symptoms such as change in consistency of stools/ abdominal pain etc. would not be considered abnormal, unless this frequency is very high as compared to your normal frequency; in which case an evaluation by a primary care physician or a gastroenterologist would be suggested for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care!
