post appendix op cronic(chronic) constipation

my appendix rupture when I was 13, since I have had cronic (chronic) constipation.  I am now 48. My diet and is full of fruit and veg. I work out 6 days a week. and do not drink milk or eat rich food. I had a surgery to release all the adhesion about 20 years ago. Still no relief. Could this problem have anything to do with the muscle wall being cut into and not put back together properly ? Any ideas.

Organicgirl, just a thought....the appendix is now thought to be the repository of the 'good' bacteria we're supposed to have in our system. It may be that trying some probiotics might give you a hand.........not sure, but it might be worth a try. There are some very good brands on the market that include Culturelly, Digestive Advantage-IBS, FloraQ and PB8 .

Thank you CalGal I had read about that and have tried for the past 4 months a Acidophilus and Bifidus. It did help a bit but was back to the starting gates within a couple of weeks. Thank you for your comment.
