post cholecyctectomy syndrome with radiating RUQ stabbing pain

I've been living with PCS since my laparoscopic chole in 2005.  For 2 weeks I now have a stabbing pain under my ribs on the right side that radiates around to my back with activity and sudden movement.  If I sit very still the pain goes away but the minute I move, it feels like I'm being impaled with a large jagged pole through my chest to back.  Could I have formed adhesions causing this intense pain?

Yes, you could have formed adhesions and if that's the case you may want to consider working with a therapist specializing in visceral manipulation which may help to ease the discomfort. Check with the Barral Institute to find qualified individuals in your area, or check on iahp.com.

You also need to consider it may be a condition known as SOD - sphincter of Oddi dysfunction. If that is the cause, you'll need to consult with a GI doc specializing in the problem. Regular GI docs really can't handle the issue.

Let me get the link to a website on SOD and post it for you.
