8 days ago. Was discharged, after 24 hours readmitted for some procedure involving a camera and my bilary system. More stones were found one was "particularly difficult" to remove. Here are my questions.
Do stones imbedded inthe small intestinal
duct or pancreatic "Parts" create digestive issues down the road?
What causes "thickened wall" of the gall bladder?
Is there a recommended course of diet and eating aside from low fat that should be adhered to following such surgeries? As in for life, not just post op
Should I be concerned about potential risk for cancers of the digestive system?

bile duct or muscular opening are 'irritated' by the stones, it can cause spasms which can cause pain and other issues.
A thickened wall is typically caused by some form of infection. But no one really understands how the gallbladder becomes infected in the first place - even though it appears to have few 'immune defense' structures. It's possible that bacteria from the duodenum can 'reflux' into the common bile duct and move back into the gallbladder and 'make themselves at home.'
Diet will depend on how your system responds. Some people are slowly able to add back fats. Others may have on-going issues with fatty foods.
To my knowledge there's no link between GB surgery or GB problems and cancer of the biliary system. But I don't think anyone can say whether or not anyone will have an increased risk of ANY cancer of the digestive system from any 'cause.' .....Just my opinion, however....................
