was horrible, but I got through. Now...question is...I am having problems with bowel movements....I actually think I had a bowel obstruction last week (vomiting/fever/nausea). Since surgery when I have had "pain" I have gone to the ER, had ct scan and each time nothing so now I don't know what to watch for since I don't present "normal". I have a horrible time keeping bowel movements "normal" even with extra fiber intake.....I'm about to lose my mind with fear I won't feel if something major developes and because I don't have the kind of pain one "should have"...well, I'm afraid something horrible will happen.
I guess I just need to vent to someone and see if anyone else has similar problems.
With surgery or other trauma to the colon it stops working for several days and then starts again. Sometimes though, it will work and then stop, then work. My son went thru this and they kept thinking he had a blockage, in reality his colon just wasn't working at times. Talk to your doctor about this.
