my husband just had 8 pupls removed only one showed up on pet scann very large [ my husband has been cancer free for 3 years.]  my doctor told me to call in ten day he removed all of them.  but he did not say don`t worry. they where just checking out of routine.  could colon pulps be cancer? Or am I just worrying to much?

I am not sure that pupls are - I think you meant to say polyps.

Colon polyps are possible precursors to colon cancer.  There are different types of polyps - either villous, hyperplastic etc.  The type can be determined during pathology.  The type of polyps can determine how aggressive followup should be (i.e. repeating a colonoscopy in 1 year vs 3-5 years).

These options can be discussed with your gastroenterologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
