putrid sweet-tasting mucus/frothy spit

For months now, I have had a very sweet-tasting putrid taste in my mouh/throat with mucus constantly, starting with a frothy spit in the am. This goes on continuously all day long. I wake each morning around 4 a.m. with my chest hurting in the middle right above my stomach and usually a hot feeling. Can all this be caused from an underactive gall bladder?
