questions about bloodwork and stool sample tests.

My doc ordered a few more tests for me and I'm just trying to figure out what the tests might be looking for. I know they're looking for a lactose and gluten intolerance but not sure about the rest. If anyone knows what some of these are and can shed some light on them thatd be great.

They are looking for a ton of different things.  It would be impossible for me to list for you everything they are looking at.  There is no reason to worry about all these tests before you get the results back.  When you get the results back I'd be happy to look at them and analyze them.  These tests will not show lactose intolerance though.

Yea...he wants me to do an elimination diet with dairy. I just assumed the tests would include something for lactose intolerance.

Is it normal to test for parasites?? I saw that test and it kind of freaked me out.

The test for lactose intolerance is a hydrogen breath test but there is no reason to do that, all you need to do is to eliminate 100% of all lactose from your diet for 2 weeks and if that helps then you have lactose intolerance and if that doesn't help then you don't have lactose intolerace.  It is normal to test for parasites.
