I too have dilated bile duct...apparently cause I have a stone in the bile duct.  Doc says I need an ERCP to remove the stone.  Whether or not this will improve my liver, he doesn't say (I have elevated liver enzymes too.).  The duct problem was found during an MRI... didn't show up on ultrasound.
