rash

I have had an endoscopic test and have hiatal hernia. During an episode it hurts to breathe, bend, lie down. I was given prevacid.  Broke out with bad rash (large bumps sore to touch) on my legs and eventually my arms. Stopped prevacid and started zantac morning and night and rash went away. Then during another episode of hurting, I took three zantac a day for two days and rash is back!  I have elevated my bed, tried to watch foods, but still have these episodes every month or so. I do not know what to take since the two drugs I have taken seem to cause this horrible rash. My doctor doesn't seem to think that the hernia is at fault for this pain. Is it possible for the pain and is it possible for prevacid and zantac to make this rash appear? My nerves are shot!

I assume the doctor you're referring to is a Gastroenterologist. If not, see one soon. The hernia can cause the pain with breathing and bending. The hernia affects the diaphragm which affects breathing. The hernia can be repaired surgically. Consult your doctor.
