rectal bleeding after running

by salem62, Oct 21, 2008 08:23AM
I am a 45 year old woman who has run since 1976....last month 2x's had rectal bleeding after a 5 mile run.
Went to GI doctor, had cbc fasting. 2 years ago had colonoscopy ( mom-polyps) .
Doctor said based on colonoscopy 2 years ago ( OK only small amount of Divirticulosis) bloodwork he said OK don't worry.
It happened again this morning. I just don't feel right not addressing it.
What do you think?
Thanks so much!

I suggest that you ask your doctor for another examination/colonoscopy.  If he/she is reluctant then ask him/her "can you guarantee 100% that in a period of 2 years since my last all-clear colonoscopy a major disease such as colon cancer cannot have started to "germinate"?"

good luck
