rectal bleeding and mucous

Hi , I am so stressed out right now, and frustrated. About six weeks ago i had a bout of diahreah with cramping and the next day, i felt like i was having a little diareah again but when i looked in the toilet all i saw was mucous and about a handful of blood.
My husband took me to er and after doing blood work which all came back fine..they reccomended i get a colonoscopy and endoscopy...Four weeks ago i had these procedures done. meanwhile the bleeding and mucous had stopped but i was still getting bouts of diareah..they removed a small precancerous polyp and biopsys came back fine on colon and stomach..no infections etc..and definitly no cancer..about three hours after the colonoscopy i had some more mucous and a tinge of blood but didnt worry because they said that was normal...sinse then i have had diahreah on and off. the last week i had an upset stomach but was told a virus was going around so i didnt worry about it.. but last night the cramps were so bad they woke me up, and again i was in the f....ng bathroom again..with diareah..

this morning my stomach was upset but nothing major..and this afternoon i had that same feeling i had six weeks ago, feeling like i had to go and then just mucous and a tinge of blood....now im just kinda ticked off about all this...I suffer from anxiety also and am on meds for that but i think i am a hypochondriac too...I worry so much about my health...My mom died of colon cancer in 2003...so im glad i know that i am preventing that with polyp removal, but i dont understand why im getting the mucous again if nothing was found...

now im worrying that its my liver because my stools were light also at one point during this whole ordeal..im at a point where im afraid to go to the bathroom...my appetite is good, my blood work was all good..white cells and all that...i have never had liver problems and was tested for hep c three years ago...so i dont have that either....could the polyp removal 4 weeks ago have caused this...? and has anyone else ever gone through this...apparently i do not have colitis, or chrones desease, just acid reflux...my doctor mentioned that stress can cause rectal bleeding also...but i didnt get that...I have always had stomach problems though sinse i was young, I am now 42...I never worried about diahreah before,, or discolored stools...I am at a point where i just wont even look in the toilet,, just flush it real quick..because everything is scaring me.....sorry this is so long. and that i probably sound like a paranoid freak...but this stuff is stressful...any input would be greatly appreciated...thanks for reading...

I own my own business and I have been stressed over the possibility of owning a horse as a way to take me away from my business for enjoyement.  Went out to the stable this evening and after about a half hour of lessons I started sweating really bad and getting hot which then lead to slight stomach cramps, I went to the bathroom and had diahreaha which helped the stomach cramps at the same time I was trying to cool down.  Feeling a little better I decided to go on a trail ride which helped me cool down even more.  Once I got back after about 15 minutes the cramps started back and I also got really hot.  I went home and the diahreah stoped but I now have a little bloody mucas and cannot go to the bathroom any more.  I am wondering what this means...  I have been stressed out about the horse and also have changed my diet in the past 2-3 weeks to no carbs or sugars and I did happen to have a double cheeseburgar today with the bread that I have not had in about 3weeks (the bread) i have been eating a lot of fruit..  I am wondering if the heat may have had anything to do with it as it was in the upper 90's today and/or if my diahreaha was so bad that the slight bloody mucas is a way of showing signs of me being "cleaned out"  I do still have a slight stomach ache 5-6 hours later.  Any sugguestions would be great help to foe of Anxiety...LH

I too, suffer from unexplainable digestive troubles. I have seen many doctors and had just about every test that can be done. The only thing I find that helps is diligence. Meaning watching very closely what is eaten, keeping the diet to mostly fruits, veggies, and grains and drinking plenty of water. Avoid soft drinks, alcohol, caffiene, and anything packaged, processed or fast food. Exercise daily and take a multivitamin. If all of these things are done religiously on a daily basis they help quite a bit. Diligence is key.

Hi Tara...at any time did they do any stool tests?  Have you taken antibiotics in the past few months?  You may want to google Clostridum Difficile, see if your symptoms match.  Best of luck to you.
